COVID -19 Update 2 April 2020

Dear 3DAAA Affiliated Clubs & Members Date: 2nd April 2020
Addressing Management of the
Current COVID 19 Pandemic
Following on from our communication on the 18th of March 2020, where we advised in light of the latest changing events related to the COVID-19 Pandemic all Sanctioned and Special events on the 2020 calendar are to be postponed / suspended until the 30th of April 2020.
It is well communicated and advertised now that each State & Territory has specific guidelines around what activities are allowed and classed as essential. It is important that all our members across the States & Territories comply with these requirements (note these are changing daily and it is your responsibility to keep abreast of these changing requirements), some of which now have fines and penalties associated with them and are enforceable by law for the non-compliance. For more information click here (Health Advice)
3DAAA advise ALL our Affiliated Clubs that in complying with the Government’s Guidelines we once again strongly recommend clubs no longer use their grounds for any club activities. This includes individual practice on club grounds.
3DAAA in supporting the now tighter restrictions that travel to the archery range is not considered essential; especially if it is not in your own local neighbourhood.
Not complying with this advice from 3DAAA, and the advice from the Government, State, Federal and Local governing bodies may leave the executives of the clubs not meeting compliance requirements becoming personally liable should a claim be made from a member or the public.
3DAAA Insurance for our Affiliated Clubs cannot be guaranteed where the club fails to comply with the conditions outlined in our communications to clubs.
We repeat in this communication
The purpose in taking this action is to help to minimise the risk and protect our members, families, volunteers and the wider community and to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus in line with changing Government guidelines.
All our decisions have been made with the best interest of our members, the vulnerable and the wider community in mind.
We thank you in advance for your ongoing support during this challenging time. We acknowledge that this is a hard decision and may not be the view of all our members.
